City send-off for QE2
Major preparations are underway for the final visit of QE2 to Liverpool Cruise Terminal on Friday 3rd October 2008.
All 1800 passengers will enjoy a concert at Liverpool Cathedral with performances from Philharmonic Choir, Philharmonic Orchestra and the band of the Welsh Guards.
Many 08 Card Holders have been lucky enough to win tickets to attend the concert.
The iconic vessel is due alongside approximately 12.00 and is due to depart at 2200 after a small, mid-river firework display and thousands of spectators are expected to turn out to give the ship a memorable send-off.
