Cultural Capsules - Liverpool Philharmonic
Royal Liverpool Philharmonic offers a range of inspirational and exciting opportunities for everyone to enjoy and take part in live music-making of the highest quality.
The Phil was one of the first orchestras in the country to make a commitment to music education, and today our school-based education programme supports music teaching in the region through a series of schools' concerts, schemes of work for teachers and in-school workshops.
We work with a wide variety of settings, from children's centres to schools, community centres to hospitals and higher education institutions, and use bespoke programmes to enable more people to experience live music, the Phil and our world class musicians.
In addition, through workshops, family events, community performances, rehearsal visits and tours, there are ways for everyone to get involved in music. To find out more, email education@liverpoolphil.com or telephone 0151 210 2895.
Cultural Capsule
Our Orrery box introduces the instruments of the orchestra through active listening and hands on activity, and gives children an opportunity to explore different emotions in music, and their own feelings through the medium of dance.
