Cultural Capsules - Tate Liverpool
Tate Liverpool supports and enriches classroom practice through a variety of courses, events, outreach projects and resources designed to extend knowledge and encourage creative learning.
Located on the Albert Dock, an historic world heritage site, Tate Liverpool is the home to the National Collection of Modern and Contemporary art in the North.
Tate Liverpool is one of a family of four Tate galleries, and alongside the Tate Collection we present special exhibitions which display the very best international modern and contemporary art from around the world.
Cultural Capsule
This box has been designed to support teachers in bringing works from the Tate Collection to their classrooms. The box encourages pupils to become active investigators or explorers, with the teacher taking on the role of a facilitator who oversees activities focussing on three specific works of art: Picasso's Weeping Woman, Brancusi's Head, and Giacometti's Man Pointing. All three works included in the box will be on view at Tate Liverpool until spring 2009.
